A fully-equipped pottery studio where
you or your child can learn to make pottery, tiles, fired
sculptures, and just about anything that can be made from
clay.
-
Classes are available at all levels
of experience, in handbuilding, wheel and fired sculpture.
-
Firing temperature is cone 6 oxidation
white stoneware (with other clay bodies available as scheduling
allows).
-
All pottery is food-safe; there is
no lead in the studio.
-
There are no firing fees; rather than
measure each piece, we cover firing costs by selling students
their own clay at $25/25lb. This encourages students to
recycle their clay, and also to work more boldly. The
first bag of clay is free to new Adult students. Clay,
glaze and firing is included in cost of kids after school
classes.
-
All students learn how to care for
their clay and tools, and help at clean up time. Instruction
is available at all levels, and covering every aspect
of the ceramic process.
-
Teachers are experienced and knowledgeable
in a wide range of ceramic styles and techniques, and
in working with different levels of ability.
-
Additional workshops (mold-making,
wood-firing, etc.) and field trips will be offered as
scheduling allows.
-
Birthday parties for kids or adults.
Call for details.

6 should be accompanied by a responsible caregiver. ASL
interpretation is available as requested. There is one
flight of stairs.
